Overview
The Foundation is proud to have been gifted a classic Land Rover 300T, a charming vehicle that plays a key role in raising awareness for our venture. This iconic truck can be seen throughout the Barrington area, participating in events such as the 4th of July parade, the Thursday Night Out Car Show, and many other local gatherings.
The Story
The truck was imported from England in 2021. After arriving stateside, it was fully restored. The factory-installed 2.5L four-cylinder turbodiesel was rebuilt, and the body painted silver. Larger wheels were added, wrapped in knobby off-road tires. Inside the cabin is new black leather upholstery and an aftermarket stereo, complete with a backup camera.
The Land Rover was featured in the July/August 2024 issue of Quintessential Barrington, highlighting its role in our efforts.
Out & About
Since receiving this special vehicle, our events team has thoroughly enjoyed showcasing it within the community. This summer, the Land Rover made appearances at various events, including at the village’s Fourth of July brat tent, Homecoming parade, and the annual National Night Out, which fosters police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie.
